Contribution Procedure

1. Digital image taken

2. The author adds metadata
(Name of image, Brief Description; Keywords; Author; Source; Location; Module/Subject; Rights (who owns the copyright); Date of creation)

3. The author sends (electronically by clicking on “I agree” button) the letter of agreement in which she/he confirms that the images are theirs and that no third party (other than the contributors) holds copyright to the images.

4. The author sends images and metadata to IELIT
a. by e-mail (images are included in a Word, Excel or PowerPoint document)
b. by Post on a CD
c. by using a password (allocated by IELIT)- inserting data straight into the image library

5. IELIT resizes the images, checks for relevance and consistency of each contribution and includes the image in the existing library

6. In case the contributor wishes to withdraw an image or modify the accompanying metadata he/she will contact IELIT and ask for that modification to be made

7. In case an organisation is interested in purchasing one or more images, then IELIT will put in touch the two parts and they will negotiate the terms and conditions of sale/purchase. IELIT welcomes a 20% share of the overall income-which will be strictly used to financially support the expansion of the image library.
